Sara Haines is the sweetheart of The View, but is it all an act? Joy Behar seems to think so, anyway. On this morning’s episode, the panel debated whether or not Rep. Kevin McCarthy elbowed Rep. Tim Burchett — and weighed in on whether they would ever do such a thing themselves.
Burchett accused McCarthy of jabbing him in the back yesterday (Nov. 14) morning after a House GOP meeting, telling ABC News, “He just elbowed me in the kidneys … It was deliberate. It was just a cheap shot.”
McCarthy denied the claims, insisting, “I would not hit him in the kidney. I guess our shoulders hit, because Burchett runs up to me afterwards. I did not know what he was talking about.”
Haines decried that there are “no consequences” for antics like McCarthy’s, while Sunny Hostin said Donald Trump “peeled that band-aid off” for such behavior during his presidency by encouraging violence.
“He’s the one that degraded our humanity, in many respects, and so now what you’re seeing is what was probably always there underneath … that’s some thuggery,” she said, later slamming McCarthy as “a thug” and “a coward.”
Haines agreed, noting, “It takes a unique person to turn to physical activity, ever.”
“I cannot imagine a situation where, aside from my life being in danger or someone near me, I would never be moved to want to hit someone,” she continued, but Behar interject to ask, “Really, on this show? You never felt that way?”
Haines threw her hands up in surprise, insisting, “No! I’m a hugger, not a fighter. I literally have hugged all of you.”

With that, Behar reached out with her own offer of a hug, and Haines accepted, telling her co-host, “I love you.” Aaaaawwww!
