‘The Crown’ Season 6 Part 1
Netflix’s pre-eminent period drama kicked off its final chapter this past week. The Crown Season 6 Part 1 follows the last weeks of Princess Diana’s (Elizabeth Debicki) tragic life, showing how exactly she met and fell for Dodi Fayed (Khalid Abdalla). The first three episodes of the sixth season are mostly about Diana. We see the tabloid frenzy she sparks, the connection she has with her sons, and her last-ditch effort to carve a role for herself within the royal family. While we don’t see Diana’s death on screen, the pain of it reverberates through The Crown Season 6 Episode 4 “Aftermath.” The Crown Season 6 Part 1 isn’t just a searing tribute to Princess Diana’s legacy, but a phenomenal showcase for actress Elizabeth Debicki. If Debicki doesn’t take home the Emmy for her work in The Crown Season 5, she’s certainly going to be a force to be reckoned with for Season 6. The Crown Season 6 Part 1 is simply must-watch for British drama nerds and royal watchers alike.
