‘The Social Network’
While we’re all talking about David Fincher’s latest release, The Killer, I suggest it’s never a bad time to bring up one of his arguable masterpieces, The Social Network. Nobody gets slayed by Michael Fassbender in this one — although there are some pretty brutal one-liners from Jesse Eisenberg’s Mark Zuckerberg — but it’s a gripping drama nonetheless, which tells the tale of the founding of Facebook. Featuring performances from Andrew Garfield, Justin Timberlake, and not one, but TWO Armie Hammers, The Social Network captures the frantic, frenzied start of one of the biggest tech companies of the day and the ruthlessness that made it all possible.
