Travis Kelce’s Rumored Girlfriend Taylor Swift Slyly Referenced By CBS Announcer During Touchdown Celebration In Jacksonville 

After Chiefs tight-end Travis Kelce was rumored to be “quietly hanging out” with Taylor Swift this weekend, a CBS announcer couldn’t help but joke about Kelce’s “Blank Space” during a game this weekend.

CBS announcer Ian Eagle seized the moment when Kelce scored a nine-yard touchdown against the Jaguars on Sunday (Sept. 17).

“Kelce finds a blank space for the score,” Eagle said, referring to Swift’s 2014 hit.

Kelce’s touchdown helped the Chiefs nab a win against the Jaguars on Sunday. But Eagle’s joke was one of the more memorable parts of the evening, uniting football fans and Swifties alike.

“As a Swiftie this was awesome… and very well timed!!” someone tweeted.

Commentator Rich Eisen also had his own Swift references to make during the game. “Even though that bone bruise and the injury, one would think is delicate, he’s been able to shake it off,” Eisen said, referencing two of Swift’s popular songs. He later referred to Kelce as an “anti-hero,” sneaking in one more reference.

Thankfully, Kelce didn’t seem to mind. When Eisen shared his comments on Instagram, Kelce commented, “Well played Rich…Well played,” with a few laughing emojis.

Dating rumors began circulating after Kelce admitted that he tried — and failed — to give Swift his number during a stop on her Eras World Tour.

“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings, so I was a little butthurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her,” Kelce explained on a recent podcast appearance.

But a source recently claimed the couple linked up when she was in New York City. “Taylor and Travis have been quietly hanging out,” an insider alleged to The Messenger. “She saw him when she was in NYC a few weeks ago.”

Kelce’s brother, Eagles center Jason Kelce, didn’t do much to dispel the rumors when he appeared on a segment of Thursday Night Football last week.

“I have seen these rumors,” Jason said. “I cannot comment.”

“Everybody’s been infatuated with Travis’ love life,” he added. “I don’t really know what’s going on there. I know Travis is having fun. We’ll see what happens with whoever he ends up with.”
