Arnold Schwarzenegger certainly shook things up on Monday night’s (Nov. 6) broadcast of ManningCast.
Brothers and former NFL stars Peyton Manning and Eli Manning, who co-host the Monday Night Football simulcast on ESPN2, invited The Terminator star onto their show while commentating on the match-up between the New York Jets and the Los Angeles Chargers, per the New York Post. The two first featured Schwarzenegger (who appeared to be feeding his donkey), just prior to their commercial break.
A perplexed Eli chimed in, asking, “Oh, what is — what is that?”
“That donkey looks like you eating, Peyton!” he joked. “It’s the same thing.”
According to the outlet, Schwarzenegger’s donkey, whose name is Lulu, appeared periodically throughout the interview.
Eli took this as an opportunity to get in another jab at his brother.
“Arnold, I assume your donkey’s name is Peyton,” he quipped. “Is that accurate?”
Schwarzenegger played into the antics, affirming, “that’s exactly right.”
“How did you know?” he joked. “It’s Peyton No. 2.”
According to HOLA, Schwarzenegger claimed he “never ever planned on having a donkey,” but that his girlfriend, Heather Milligan, thought their pony, Whiskey, “need[ed] a companion.”
“One day I came home, and there was this miniature donkey,” he added. “Together, with Whiskey! They were hanging out together, loving each other and [Milligan] says ‘I knew it! She needed a companion. Look at them, they’re getting along!'”
ManningCast airs on ESPN2 and can be streamed on FuboTV, Hulu with Live TV, Sling TV, and YouTube TV. The program will also be available to stream on NFL+.
