The trailer for Season 2 of The Bear dropped yesterday and offered viewers their first insight into the Original Beef’s transition into the more chaos-oriented restaurant The Bear.
A lot about the future of The Bear is still unclear, but one thing is for sure: “Cousin” Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) isn’t letting The Beef go that easily.
The “delicate ecosystem” he managed since Mikey (Jon Bernthal) died has been disrupted. While overseeing the construction (to mixed results) at the restaurant, Cousin is still the only person in the trailer to continue wearing the Original Beef of Chicagoland T-shirts, a staple of the first season.
With one minor adjustment…
“Your shirt says Original Berf,” Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) says at the end of the new trailer. And sure enough, when the camera pans back over to Richie, his shirt does say Original Berf of Chicagoland.
“Yeah, it’s a printing mistake,” Richie replies. “Collector’s item.”
It may be a printing mistake in-universe, but the shirt we found on Redbubble is by design, which means you can grab this “collector’s item” for yourself.

“The Original Berf of Chicagoland” Classic T-Shirt, $25
The T-shirt comes in a number of colors and sizes up to 5XL, but we recommend getting it in navy if you want to maintain the accuracy of Cousin’s shirt on the show.
If you prefer your Original Beef T-shirt spelled correctly, you can also find variations of that on Redbubble and Etsy.
Season 2 of FX’s The Bear premieres June 22 on Hulu; all 10 episodes will be released at once.
